With the completion of 5 new buildings, The New Village of Copper has resumed free chair lift rides and added numerous activities for the summer visitor. Most activities operate daily from June 30 through Labor Day. There are Free Guided Nature Hikes from the top of the American Eagle Lift by the U.S. Forest Service at 11:00 AM & 1:30 PM. Mountain Bike Hauls up the American Eagle Lift are $8 per day and require a helmet. Copper has added a Quad Power Bungee Jump located next to American Eagle lift. A popular addition to the New Village located between Copper One Lodge and Tucker Mountain Lodge is the Climbing Wall with a water fall. The Village is a popular connecting point for cycling between Summit County and the town of Vail. Copper Mountain stables offer horseback trail rides as well as pony rides in a corral. Fly fishing along Ten Mile Creek is a relaxing way to past the time of day. West Lake is currently under development with 9 retail buildings. When it is completed in 2002 you will be able to enjoy fishing from the wharf or take a row boat ride. There are activities for children and village animation and outdoor concerts to entertain guests. In the event that it rains you can take your tennis game indoors. And finally there is golf over the highest elevation championship golf course in North America.
