Hyatt’s Coconut Plantation offers guests luxury condominiums featuring British West Indies décor. Each one of the 108 units comes with a screened balcony with fabulous views of the golf course or lake. Complimentary high speed internet access, cable TV, microwaves, coffeemakers, hair dryers and a kitchenette are some of the amenities that you can find in the units. Guests can have fun at the on-site volleyball or basketball court apart from two tennis courts. Of course the center piece of the resort is always there in the form of ‘Raptor Bay’, the hotel’s 18-hole championship golf course, designed by Raymond Floyd and certified by the Audubon Society. You can find a signage placed at every hole in the golf course that identifies the species of rare birds that you might come across here.
Five outdoor pools, including a lazy river and a children’s pool, means that you are never short of fun while here. There are also two spa tubs and a modern fitness center along with a game arcade. Guests staying here can also enjoy the amenities of the neighboring Hyatt Regency Coconut Point including a modern spa/health club and three pools which includes a huge lagoon pool with waterfall, fountains, and water slides. Perhaps the biggest on-site attraction along with the golf course is the resort’s private island Big Hickory. Complimentary shuttle service is provided to guest to visit the private island from the resort. ‘The Verandah’ on-site is known for its great snacks, along with the ‘Braxton,’ near the golf course. The ‘Coconuts Poolside’ bar serves specialty and other tropical drinks.
