I just wanted to share this with all you people. During our last vacation, my mom was with us in Hawaii. We made the biggest mistake of our life by not thinking about her health condition. She suffered an asthma attack in the middle of the night and the inhaler was of no use. We had not brought her medicines with us and we contacted the help desk not knowing what to do. Fortunately, there was a doctor available and he attended her immediately. But even then, there was a problem. The doctor asked about her medical history and inquired us about the medication she has been taking. I simply had no idea and nor did my wife. Somehow, he treated her and it was over and we thanked the doctor. I'll never forget this in my life and I understood that having an elderly person with us in a vacation means a lot of responsibilities.
So, next time when you plan for your vacation and if you plan to take your mom or dad with you, make sure you have everything in store for them. Medicines, prescriptions, details about the kind of surgeries they have had, and other details. Trust me; it will be really helpful if you have all these details. Happy vacation to all.

Very true Tim. I had a similar experience with my grandma, only it was in Arizona. We had a tough time due to our lack of preparation and we learned a lesson for life. It's always advisable to have a check list with all the necessary items for the elderly. Before you start off, make sure you check the check list and you have everything mentioned in it.
