From bald eagles to the famous caldera of Crater Lake and lava beds, a result of the region’s volcanic legacy, you will be amazed at the eco diversity of the region. The Crater Lake National Park, an hour’s drive away, offers you year round fun in the form of hiking in summer and skiing in winter.
Winema National Forest is nearby too. The Klamath County Museum focuses on the wildlife and culture of Klamath Basin and is a must-visit when you are here. The Favell Museum of Western Art & Artifacts nearby has lots of Indian artifacts on display. You can also be a part of the famous Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland if you are here between mid February and October.
