At the end of the lake, the Cascade Mountains rise over 9,000 feet offering great skiing and hiking options. Then there is the tiny village of Stehekin with its unique culture accessible only by floatplane or boats, nearby. Slidewaters amusement park with its eight waterslides is a major area attraction. Tsillan Cellars is one of the most prominent of the areas numerous wineries which you can visit nearby for a classic selection of dessert, red and white wines.
