Proof of ownership while renting your timeshare

Hi everyone. I'm trying to rent out my Mexico week and I've got a prospective renter who is interested in it. But he asks for my proof of ownership. Should I send my deed to him? Should I send him a copy of it? Should I just give him my ownership number? Should I ask him to verify with the resort? Yeah; I know; that's a lot of questions. But please bear with me. Thanks in advance. :)

In fact, you have answered your own questions. :) You can give him the ownership number and ask him to verify with the resort. That would suffice. But then, if you want to be extra nice to your renter, then you can also send him a copy of your ownership deed.
